Rocky needed some cuddles. He has grown to be a big boy and takes his job as protector of the farm very seriously.

Wow, a year has passed and so much has happened. We expanded our farm and now have a big garden, and we added a milk cow!!! With farm life comes happiness, and sometimes sadness. This year, we purchased Millie, the milk cow in March, and after she calved in July, she passed away suddenly in August. She was a great cow and a wonderful mom and will be missed so much. In March and April, we also had lots of goat kids, and sadly lost two to freak accidents :(

But, after all the heartache, we love watching our heifer, Pebbles, and our bull calves Willi and Bam-Bam grow and do very well. And in October, we went to the livestock sale and bought another milk cow, Ginnie, and rescued a little Jersey cow, Mia, which we weren't sure if she would even make it. She was so weak, she had trouble getting into the trailer. But with much love and prayer, she is now doing very well and is even giving us a little milk.

Animal of the week

November 17, 2020

Meet BeeBee, a very special little French Alpine. She was born April1, 2020 and came to us at the age of 2 weeks a bottle baby. When she arrived, she made it very clear that she would NOT accept a bottle. At that time, we still had some Nigerian dwarf nannies, so we put one after another on the stand and let BeeBee nurse. One day, our smallest Nigerian didn't have much milk at all, and considering she was our best milker, that seemed rather odd. Next day, guess what we saw??? The nannie had adopted BeeBee and just let her nurse whenever!!! Animals are just amazing. What a sweet thing of our little nannie to do. Interestingly, as BeeBee grew, the task became more difficult. Now, at the age of 7 months, this looks very interesting. Check out the picture taken beginning of November, before we sold the nannie.

The Beginning

November 12, 2020

We did it!! Our LLC paperwork and Nevada business license have been filed and accepted. We are now officially a business. We are now working on the she-shed, turning it into an office and the place where the magic happens. New floor is almost done and painting and staining is in progress. Pictures will come soon :) I am so excited to get started - I mean REALLY get started!! To be able to step into my grandmother's footsteps and to help people love their skin, is such an amazing goal. Click on the history button to read about my grandma, who inspired me every step in my life. I can't wait to introduce you to her :)
